Sep. 5: St. Teresa of Calcutta

A lot of wisdom came from this diminutive woman, but here are just a few of my favorite lines from St. Teresa of Calcutta:

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.

If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.

The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved.

Never travel faster than your guardian angel can fly.

And this is what is the greatest destroyer of peace today — abortion which brings people to such blindness.

We do not need guns and bombs to bring peace, we need love and compassion.
